At École J.H. Picard, we offer Catholic education in a single-track French Immersion setting.
You can start French Immersion in either Kindergarten or Grade One, and the best part is, you don't need to know French to register.
French immersion is a cool way to learn two languages! At École J.H. Picard, you get to study in French while following the same Alberta Education curriculum as those studying in English. By the time you finish Grade 12, you'll become functionally bilingual, meaning you'll be able to speak French really well! It's an awesome chance to become bilingual.

You don’t have to be Catholic to be part of our community. When space and programming permit, we are happy to welcome non-Catholic and non-resident students too. Everyone is welcome to be part of our awesome school community!

Yellow bussing is available for students in Kindergarten to Grade 12 who live within the J.H. Picard boundary area and outside of the 2 km walking zone.

Open Houses are your opportunity to visit schools, meet the staff, and explore the spaces where learning and community thrive. Tour classrooms, ask questions, and learn about the programs and opportunities available for your child.
If you can't attend an Open House, contact the school directly to see if you can arrange another time to visit.
